"Khuvsgul Lake" HOTEL RULES AND POLICY

CHAPTER ONE:

HOTEL, COMFORT, SAFETY, AND PROHIBITIONS

ONE.GENERAL

“Khuvsgul Lake” hotel is an object providing hotel services with a capacity to receive up to 210 guests in 80 rooms of six types at floors 20, 21, 23, and 24 of building “Khusvgul Lake City Tower.” Hereinafter referred to as “Hotel.”

The hotel is friendly to biking, sports, and tourism.

Guests can be foreigners and nationals who reserve a room and complete the payments in accordance with the reservation guidelines. Hereinafter referred to as “Guest.”

The purpose of these rules is to ensure that all activities from friendly and warm reception to seeing off satisfied guests are appropriately managed and to provide to the guests and other guests all hotel services specified in the rules which must meet comfort, safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards. Hereinafter referred to as “Service.”

These rules shall regulate the affairs that arise between the hotel and the guests and is deemed a legal agreement made with the guest by the hotel, which means that these rules located in the hotel rooms must be reviewed and accepted prior to completing the payment.

All guests, additional guests, contractors, and companies receiving the service as well as all hotel employees must abide by these rules.

The types and sizes of and furniture and accessories in the rooms as well as prices are attached.

The management of this hotel is carried out by “City tower hotel” LLC with state registration number 9011564091.

The hotel is located at 8/1, Sukhbaatar square, Baga toiruu 14200, khoroo 8, Sukhbaatar district, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The official languages used in the hotel are Mongolian and English.

TWO. SMOKING IS PROHIBITED

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the hotel or areas except smoke areas outside. Smoking in prohibited areas entails a penalty of tugriks equal to $200 USD.

Smoking penalty is for loss of profits incurred by the hotel and provision of additional cleaning service as a result of pollution in the surroundings due to smoke smell.

THREE. NOISE

Yelling, arguing, singing, fighting, aggressive behaviors and loud talking are prohibited in the hotel rooms. Television and music volumes must be lowered and loud noises such as those from maintenances must not be made after 23.00.

FOUR. PROHIBITIONS

The following are not accepted in the hotel:

  • Any kind of animal;
  • Any kind of explosive, gas, bullet, fireworks, gunpowder, gasoline and other flammables;
  • Items that are dirty or have strong smell;
  • Unregistered or unlicensed firearm or knife, spears, or swords;
  • Goods, possessions, bags, or boxes that are too big to fit through the room or the elevator floor or that are too numerous;
  • Drugs or drug products that are prohibited by the laws of Mongolia;
  • Any substances or psychoactive substances;

The following acts are prohibited in the hotel:

  • Gambling or immoral acts, or acts that affect public interests;
  • Unapproved business activities, dealings, advertisements, or exhibitions in the hotel rooms, lobby or other areas;
  • Use, application, or charging (except charging of personal electric appliances, cameras, cellphones, power banks of less than 25000 mAh, computer, GPS) of appliances or equipment except those for hotel use;
  • Cooking in the hotel rooms;
  • Leaving with hotel items or equipment or changing their locations without approval;
  • Ironing on the furniture or carpet of the hotel, putting moist items, drying clothes or spilling water or liquids;
  • Servicing a person under the legal age of 18 without a guardian;
  • Temporary leaving a child under 13 in the hotel room without a guardian;
  • Allowing a child under 13 to use the elevators in the hotel room without a guardian;
  • Bringing breakfast food, beverage, bread, cookies, or yoghurt from the cafeteria;
  • Transporting too much goods or luggage by the elevator;
  • Giving a tip or reward to an employee other than the doorman;
  • Getting drunk or using substances in the hotel rooms;
  • Leaving the taps running in the bathrooms or leaving electric appliances running;
  • Littering or suspending items through the hotel window;
  • Going naked outside hotel rooms;
  • Shooting erotic or porn photos or videos in the hotel rooms;
  • Shooting unpermitted photos or videos for business purposes in the hotel rooms or hotel premises.

The hotel management shall stop any violations of the above provisions by the guest or additional guests.

The hotel may claim compensations from the guest for damages caused to the hotel or others due to the violation of the above provisions by the guest or additional guest.

Refusal to pay the compensation for damages caused to the hotel or others as a result of the guest or additional guest violating the above prohibitions may result in resolution of the case by legal authorities of Mongolia.

FIVE. SAFETY

Each guest shall observe the following rules in order to ensure safety to himself/herself or others:

  • To use the electric water boiler, hairdryer, or iron in accordance with the usage instructions;
  • To check whether the personal electric razor or electric appliance uses 110 V or 220V power;
  • No smoking on the bed, armchairs, or in areas where smoking is prohibited;
  • Making open fire or use items with fire hazard in hotel rooms or other areas of the hotel;
  • To check whether the doors are locked when staying in or leaving the room;
  • Do not open the room door to a stranger;
  • Call 100 for receptionist to notify any instance of an attempt by a stranger to enter the room without permission;
  • Do not hold a meeting with or bring to room any unregistered guest;
  • Control the water temperature when a child takes a shower;
  • To wear slippers to prevent slipping on the tiles in the bathroom, shower or the public premise and injure oneself; to wear shoes outside the room;
  • To be attentive when using the electric water boiler;
  • To be attentive when using glassware or metalware such as glasses or paper roll holder in the room;
  • Refrain from overdrinking in the room;

SIX. SUGGESTIONS

6.1. To not go outside during the evening time.

6.2. Guests should not bring in strangers into the room at any time.

6.3. Beware of pocket thieves on the public premise of, outside or around the hotel.

SEVEN. EMERGENCY

Please stay calm and exercise reasonable judgment during emergency.

Evacuate using two ways during emergency in the hotel.

Escape by using the emergency stairs on both sides of the hotel hallway.

Exit the building through the window using safety cable as advised and instructed by the hotel employee.

Please follow the instructions and advice given by the safety worker who came to help during emergency in order to be rescued from incidents.

In case of fire in the room, alarm will go off automatically and fire sprinkler system on the ceiling will start sprinkling water.

When staying at the hotel, please be mindful of any risks and review the safety exit map that must be used during emergency, which is located inside the door of the room.

Please keep your room key with you during emergency.

Do not use elevator during emergency.

During emergency, rescue will begin when the receptionist hands the guest registry book for each floor to the safety worker.

Concierge on each floor shall be registered as a guest.

The rescue will be conducted with the safety worker checking all registered guests room by room.

Door must be closed when leaving the hotel room.

EIGHT. GAS MASK

An item in two boxes on the room shelf is a single-use gas mask.

During emergency, wear the gas mask as shown on the instructions on the box to protect oneself or companion avoid suffering carbon monoxide. As the gas mask is a single use item, don’t open and wear when it is not an emergency.

Additional mask will be given for an additional guest.

NINE. SAFETY CABLE

When there’s no escape way during an emergency, use safety cable as instructed by the hotel employee to exit through the window.

TEN. SOUND ALARM

Sound alarm at fire panel shall be set off by a hotel employee when there’s fire to alarm and rescue people.

ELEVEN. DON NOT DISTURB

Hang “Do not disturb” notice on the door handle if you don’t want any cleaning or service in the room and don’t want to be disturbed.

TWELVE. ADDITIONAL GUEST

An additional guest who is visiting the guest temporarily must be registered at the reception.

The additional guest must leave the room before 23:00.

The additional guest charge must be paid in case the additional guest will spend the night in the room.

THIRTEEN. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Please use the first medical box at the reception if you have cut yourself, but no medicine or syringes will be supplied.

A guest in need of any medical assistance must call 100 for reception who will call emergency medical assistance. The receptionist is trained in first aid.

FOURTEEN. POLICE

14.1. If the guest is assaulted or had his/her stuff stolen, the incident must be reported to the police.

14.2. The hotel can assist in checking the camera recordings.

FIFTEEN. GUEST’S CONFIDENTIALITY

15.1. Guest’s information will only be kept at the reception and the information shall be kept confidential.

15.2. No information shall be given without permission to an outsider who asks about the guest.

15.3. Permission shall be obtained from the guest before providing any information on the guest.

15.4. Any outsider who wants to contact the guest’s room shall be allowed to do so after obtaining permission from the guest.

CHAPTER TWO.

HOTEL ROOM RESERVATION AND PAYMENT

SIXTEEN. HOTEL ROOM RESERVATION AND REGISTRATION

Hotel reservation can be made in 3 ways – online, phone or at the reception.

Reservation can be made on available rooms at the hotel’s website www.khuvsgullakehotelhostel.mn.

Also reservation can be made on available rooms at www.booking.com , or www.expedia.com, where the hotel is registered.

Reservation can be made by calling hotel reception at 70115757 or 77187878 or the reservation manager at 80366366 or 88288639.

Reservation can be also made directly at the reception.

SEVENTEEN. CHECKING INTO A ROOM

Guest can check into a room after 14:00.

A reserved room will be reserved until 12:00 the next day.

Guest’s identification will checked, copied and entered into the guest registry when the guest stays at the hotel, regardless of who made the reservation.

Receiving the room key is equal to checking into the room. If wanted, the room can be received from the concierge or manager.

EIGHTEEN. CHECKING OUT OF THE ROOM

The room must be checked out before 12:00 on the check-out day.

The guest must check to ensure that no belongings have been left in the hotel room when checking out.

After key is returned at the reception, the floor concierge shall check the room.

The floor concierge will check for any soils, damage, or lost items in the room and inform the reception about any additional service charges.

The room is deemed checked out when all additional service charges or fines are paid.

NINETEEN. HOTEL’S BASIC AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Same charges apply to foreigners and nationals.

Any payments to the hotel shall be completed as follows.

Any cash payments shall be made in tugrik at the reception.

Any foreign currency shall be calculated into tugrik at current exchange rate of Mongol bank.

Bank transfers shall be made to “Citi tower hotel” LLC’s account 2600082721 at Ulaanbaatar bank.

In case of credit card payment, acceptable credit cards are Visa, Мaster, Union Pay, Amex, or JCB.

In case of an online reservation, a deposit payment must be made pursuant to the site’s rules and regulations and the key may be received after the balance is paid fully at the reception.

In case of stay extensions, the room payment shall be made in advance for such extension of stay to extend the usability of the key.

The guest must place a collateral equal to one day’s price of the selected room at the reception.

Service charges such as mini bar and laundry shall be paid per the invoice upon check-out.

The following additional charges apply if the room is checked out after 12:00:

  • 30 percent of the basic room payment if the stay is until 15.00 in the afternoon;
  • 50 percent of the basic room payment if the stay is until 18.00 in the evening;
  • 100 percent of the basic room payment if the stay is after 18.00 in the evening;

The following additional charges apply if the room is reserved for checking in before 14:00 or the check-in time:

  • 30 percent of the basic room payment if the check in is between 12:00-14:00;
  • 50 percent of the basic room payment if the check in is between 09:00-12:00 before noon;
  • 100 percent of the basic room payment if the check in is before 09:00 in the morning;

Additional fines apply for any damage to articles in the room or soils that can’t be cleaned or smoking in the room.

The main guest shall be liable for any fines or charges for any damage soiling to articles by the additional guest.

TWENTY. DISCOUNTS, PROMOTIONS, REBATES

A group of more than 12 guests can receive a discount in accordance with the agreement.

Regular customers of the hotel can receive discount depending on the type of card.

A guest who arrived by “Airbusan” company may receive a discount of 20000 tugriks by showing the airplane ticket.

Special promotion and discount apply to guests who are staying on their birthday or wedding.

TWENTY ONE. CANCELLATION OF RESERVATION, REFUNDS

The following fines shall apply from the total payable amount if the guest cancels the reservation:

  • 25 percent if the cancellation is more than 7 days of the reserved date;
  • 50 percent if the cancellation is within 3-7 days of the reserved date;
  • 75 percent if the cancellation is within 1-3 days of the reserved date;
  • 100 percent if the cancellation is within 1 day of the reserved date or no cancellation is made;

CHAPTER THREE.

BASIC SERVICE (NO CHARGES)

TWENTY TWO. INTERNET

A password-free wireless internet connection with the name “Khuvsgul lake hotel” is available in the hotel room.

Internet can be accessed using the password ‘Citytower1’ in the lobby on the first floor of the hotel.

Internet can be accessed using the password ‘Citytower2’ in the breakfast cafeteria on the second floor of the hotel.

TWENTY THREE. TELEVISION CHANNEL

100 channels of Univision service is available on the 20th and 21st floors of the hotel and 200 channels of Skymedia service is available on 23rd and 24th floor.

List of channels are placed in a folder.

TWENTY FOUR. BREAKFAST

The hotel room price includes self-service breakfast cost and guests who are registered to a room can have breakfast.

Breakfasts are served between 06:00-09:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and between 07:00-10:00 on Saturday and Sunday in the “City hall” on the second floor of the hotel.

Cold packaged food is served if the breakfast is requested before the scheduled time.

Request for the packaged food must be given at the reception 24 hours in advance.

Breakfast can be delivered to the room if the guest is ill or as requested in advance.

TWENTY FIVE. ROOM CLEANING

Rooms with guests are cleaned between 09:00 and 14:00.

Room cleaning involves ventilation, making of the beds, moist cleaning, vacuum cleaning, garbage takeout, filling of mini fridge, and providing of single-use items.

Towels and bedding in a room with a guest who staying for at least 2 days are changed every 2 days.

If you need a change of bedding or towel, please ask the floor concierge or the receptionist.

TWENTY SIX. VALUABLES AND LUGGAGE

Guests may keep valuables, documentation, or cash in the room’s safe.

Guests may also give valuables, documentation, or cash to the receptionist for safekeeping.

The hotel is not responsible for any lost valuables, documentation, or cash that haven’t been kept at the hotel.

Any large size baggage which the guest can’t take it into the room may be kept in the luggage store room on the first floor of the hotel.

If the guest arrives one day before the check-in, the hotel can receive and keep his/her baggage free of charge.

 

If the guest checks out of the room, his/her baggage may be kept free of charge for half day.

Baggage are registered, tagged and documented upon consignment to the doorman. The baggage is returned upon providing the document.

The hotel is not responsible for any losses due to leaving the baggage or personal belongings inside the hotel unattended.

TWENTY SEVEN. FITNESS, SAUNA

All registered guests can use the sauna or fitness free of charge.

“Orange” fitness on the second floor of the hotel is open from 06:00-23:00.

Guests must follow the rules of the sauna and the fitness.

TWENTY EIGHT. MAP

Mongolian and Ulaanbaatar city maps are located on the hotel floors.

Map of downtown Ulaanbaatar is available free of charge at the reception.

TWENTY NINE. ALARM

If you would like a morning alarm, please notify the receptionist in advance.

THIRTY. CHILDBED

Childbed for 0-3 year olds is available to be used by guests in accordance with the purpose.

THIRTY ONE. POSTAL SERVICE

Any post that arrives for the guest at the hotel is received and delivered to the guest.

TWENTY TWO. SINGLE-USE ITEMS

Tea, sugar, purified water, and mini chocolate is available to guests free of charge once a day. Additional charge is applicable for more than the given provision. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, razor blade, toothpaste and toothbrush are available free of charge every two days. Additional charge is applicable for more than the given provision.

THIRTY THREE. NEWSPAPERS

Daily newspapers and magazines are available in the lobby.

THIRTY FOUR. SHOESHINE

Shoeshine is available inside the main door on the first floor of the hotel.

THIRTY FIVE. UMBRELLA

Umbrellas are available at the reception.

Wet umbrellas may be put in the plastic bag from the automatic machine inside the main door of the first floor of the hotel.

THIRTY SIX. LOST ITEMS

Any items forgotten in the hotel room will be kept for 30 days after e-mail notifice to the guest.

Any items forgotten in the public premise is kept at the reception for 7 days.

CHAPTER FOUR.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES (CHARGED)

THIRTY SEVEN. MINI BAR

Products in the mini bar in the room are charged.

Product prices are on the mini fridge.

If you need refills for the mini bar products, please make the order to the reception.

Charges for the mini bar service are paid at the reception when checking out.

Health certificate for the products in the mini bar is available at the reception.

Guests do not need to turn on or off the mini bar fridge. Please contact room service if necessary.

THIRTY EIGHT. ADDITIONAL BED

If necessary, additional bed can be ordered.

Additional bed, beddings and towels can be ordered in advance and paid at the reception before using.

THIRTY NINE. LAUNDRY AND DRY CLEANING

Prices for laundry are on the shelf in the drawing room and the laundry is put in the laundry bag.

Laundry and the laundry order are given to the reception at 08.30 in the morning.

Laundry is completed in a day while dry cleaning is completed after 1-3 days.

Doing laundry in the hotel room is prohibited.

FORTY. CURRENCY EXCHANGE

Currency can be exchanged at the reception desk at the hotel.

FORTY ONE. MASSAGE

Massage service is provided for charge in “Orange” fitness center on the second floor of the hotel.

FORTY TWO. IPAD RENT, COMPUTER SERVICES

iPad can be rented from the reception for 20 000 tugriks for 1-5 hours and 40 000 tugriks for 5-24 hours.

Two computers in the lobby of the hotel can be used free of charge.

FORTY THREE. BIKE RENT

Bikes can be rented from the reception desk.

MERIDA bikes are rented for 20 000 tugriks for 1-12 hours.

Please follow traffic safety rules when riding the bikes.

Bikes are checked for size and working order upon receiving. A damaged bike can be changed for undamaged one.

Damaged, lost, stolen bikes are charged.

FORTY FOUR. RENTAL CARS

Please ask the reception desk for rental car information.

FORTY FIVE. AIRPORT WELCOME AND FAREWELL SERVICES

If you would like airport, railway station welcome or farewell service, please call the reception desk at +976-70115757 externally or 100 internally.

Airport welcome service is 55 000 tugriks and farewell service is 55 000 tugriks.

East railway station welcome service is 25 000 tugriks and farewell service is 25 000 tugriks.

West railway station welcome service is 30 000 tugriks and farewell service is 30 000 tugriks.

Central railway station welcome service is 20 000 tugriks and farewell service is 20 000 tugriks.

FORTY SIX. CAR PARKING

Car parking on B1 floor of the hotel is available for a charge of 20 000 tugriks per day.

Car parking on B1 floor of Independence Palace is available for a charge of 10 000 tugriks per day.

Parking lot outside the hotel is free of charge.

As the car parking charge is only for parking the car, please be reminded to turn on the car alarm, lock the doors, and bring in any valuable items from the car.

FORTY SEVEN. OFFICE DOCUMENT SERVICES

Printing, copying, or scanning is 1000 tugriks for a page.

FORTY EIGHT. ENTERTAINMENT AND FOOD

Information on the schedules of restaurants, museum, theatre or exhibitions is available at the reception.

FORTY NINE. GIFT CARD

 Information on hotel “gift cards” is available at the reception desk.

CHAPTER FOUR.

EQUIPMENT, FURNITURE, ARTICLES

FIVE. ELEVATOR

Elevators D and C are available for use in the hotel.

Press the floor number after touching the room key or card to the sensor located under the buttons in the elevator.

Press the alarm and call for assistance if the elevator has a problem for some reason, but do not attempt to manually open the elevator door.

Guests should not carry items that are overweight, dirty, or foul smelling in the elevator.

Do not use the elevator during emergency.

FIFTY ONE. ROOM DOOR AND KEY

The room key is in a form of a card and is used for elevator.

The room key is charged for use until 12:00 of the date of checkout from the hotel.

Use the card on the card ready on the door lock and push the door handle down to enter the room.

Slip the room key in the key into the key holder on the wall next to the door in the room and turn on the light.

If the key is lost, a new key is available for 10 000 tugriks.

The guest must lock the door lock from the inside for double safety.

In case of failure of lock of the outside door or the bathroom door, reception must be notified for the lock to be fixed by a repairman.

The guest will be charged who attempts to repair and breaks the lock of the outside door or the bathroom door.

FIFTY TWO. WINDOW

It is advised that room windows are not to be opened if possible for safety reasons.

Push the window handle down to open the window, pull it to the side to close.

If the window doesn’t close or open, call for assistance and do not attempt to tinker with the window parts.

Do not put things on the outside windowsill, press against the window, spill, litter, or suspend things from the window, leave your head, hand, or body inside the window.

FIFTY THREE. FURNITURE AND ARTICLES

Furniture and articles in the room must be used cleanly and attentively in accordance with the purpose.

Do not take furniture, articles or other accessories from the room.

Do not change the locations of furniture, articles or other accessories in the room.

FIFTY FOUR. SAFE

Safe usage instruction is in the safe.

Check the safe when checking out.

FIFTY FIVE. WEIGHT

The electronic personal scale in the bathroom is only for checking the weight.

FIFTY SIX. IRON AND IRON HOLDER

Iron and iron holder must be requested from the room service.

Iron and iron holder must be used in accordance with the purpose.

Do not leave the iron facing down when it is on and disconnect the plug from the outlet after using.

FIFTY SEVEN. HAIR DRYER

The hair dryer in the bathroom must be used in accordance with the application.

Only connect electric razor to the electric outlet located above the hair dryer on floors 20 and 21 of the hotel after checking whether the power is 110V or 220V.

FIFTY EIGHT. TELEPHONE

The telephone in the room is only for internal hotel use.

Enter the room number on the phone to call from room to room.

Call 100 for reception desk.

To make international or domestic call, please buy a mobile SIM card from the reception.

FIFTY NINE. AIR CONDITION

Air condition should only be used from 1 May to 15 September for cooling the room when it is hot.

Air condition shouldn’t be used to heat the room.

To use the air condition for cooling, follow the instruction on the controller.

SIXTY. ELECTRIC OUTLET

The electric outlets on the walls of the room are AC 220V50/60H.

SIXTY ONE. ELECTRIC WATER BOILER

Please don’t boil water using the boiler with water that is too full.

Please handle the water boiler carefully.

Do not put the water boiler on the floor to use.

No liquid other than water is boiled in the water boiler.

SIXTY TWO. DAMAGE OR SOILING TO ARTICLES

In case of intentional or unintentional damage or soiling to articles of the hotel, charges specified in the appendix are imposed.

In case of damage or soiling to the wall, ceiling, door, window, or carpet in the hotel, costs for their entire fixing are charged.

If the carpet is damaged from smoke fire or if the furniture or article is burnt, the costs for replacing the entire carpet or damaged furniture or article are charged.

If a particular room can’t be made directly available to the next guest as a result of damage, destruction or soiling of hotel articles, costs for the loss of profits shall be calculated for a period until the commissioning of the room and charged from the guest.

The main guest shall be liable for any damage to the hotel caused by an additional guest.
